As the Interim Pastor, (that means I have been appointed to serve here for one year while we get ready for a full time pastor) I would like to invite you to check us out. If you would decide to come to our church you would find a small and lively place: A place where people know the love of Jesus Christ and express that love in action. We are a congregation who live out the scripture from Genesis 12 in which the people are told that they are "blessed in order that they might be a blessing to others." This is not your dull Sunday morning place. This is a place in which laughter and joy reign. People choose to come here to worship and to serve the community in the name of Jesus Christ because they love Jesus and they love this community.
You probably wonder just how you might fit in. Well here are a few suggestions: Of course try out our 11:00 worship service. We have a wonderful song team and I will bring a message based on scripture and filled with hope. We have a Sunday School at 9:15 that begins with breakfast for everyone – children and adults alike. The children have a new curriculum with a fascinating Bible and I will have a class on parenting with topics like, “How to talk so your children will listen and how to listen so your children will talk.” Or, you could volunteer to help with the clothing bank. We are just getting established and there is lots of work to be done. Call the church office at 273-5000 to ask how you can help. We support the food bank and help with school supplies and that is just a short list of all this congregation does. I also know that often people who are hurting in many ways need a place to come and talk out those hurts. I am available for listening. Call the number above to set a time.
