Celebrate, Nurture, and Serve
To put this statement into action we have four teams – Welcome, Celebrate, Nurture, and Serve – under the overall guidance of the ‘Dream Team.’ Each team is responsible for implementing new or innovative ways to improve service to our congregation and the surrounding community.

The Dream Team, chaired by Gene Weaver, is what the name implies – a team that is charged with ‘dreaming up’ new, innovative ways to improve the overall operation of RUMC. Ideas deemed worthy of further study are then assigned to one or more of the following teams for review and implementation. In this way our dreams for making RUMC a dynamic church are put into action.
The primary focus of the Welcome Team is inviting and incorporating new people into our church family, with an emphasis on listening to needs and finding ways to meet those needs. In this way the team helps develop new ministries to include more people into our church family. For more information contact Joyce Smith.
The Celebrate Team is dedicated to facilitating our congregation to celebrate God and His love through worship and fellowship. We strive to provide a worship experience that is meaningful and inspirational as well as welcoming and loving. Our church family is a warm and caring one, and it is our goal to plan fun, Christian social events that further the growth of - and to spread - this fellowship. How is your spiritual well being? The Nurture Team works to enhance our spiritual well being by visiting, communicating with and educating our congregation as well as people within our community. The Team puts together programs for kids and adults that help us relate to God, each other and the world. Some of the projects of the Nurture Team include the children’s ministries, the church library, calling and visiting shut-ins, and maintaining a members photo gallery. Would you like to help? The Serve Team is centered on outreach programs throughout our community and the broader world. They work to identify needs and find ways to help meet these needs. An important part of their mission is to find ways to invite every member of the church to be involved in Christ's mission of helping and serving one another.
