Welcome to Rochester United Methodist Church!
Reaching out to our community — and to our world.
Worship and Opportunities for this week
and Sunday, November 3rd
Come and enjoy worship in whatever manner is possible. We are still doing our best to maintain safe practices; mask wearing is encouraged. [Church leadership has decided to continue mask wearing when we are singing in worship] We hope you will be able to join us for any of these events that work for you.
Worship with us in person Sundays at 11:30 a.m. We are currently wearing masks and social distancing for everyone’s safety and peace of mind.

Support the Humanitarian Response in Ukraine
Give Now
United Methodists and others wishing to provide humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people in the wake of the Russian invasion of their country may contribute to Advance #982450, UMCOR International Disaster Response and Recovery. This fund will provide direct assistance to those in Ukraine as well as assistance to Ukrainians fleeing to neighboring countries.
Gifts to support the people of Ukraine can be made in the following ways:
-
- Online at https://umcmission.org/advance-project/982450
- By toll-free telephone: 888-252-6174
- By check made out to Global Ministries/UMCOR with “Advance #982450-Ukraine” written on the memo line, either mailed and addressed to Global
Ministries/UMCOR, GPO, P.O. Box 9068, New York, NY, 10087-9068 or given at or through any United Methodist church
One hundred percent of all Advance contributions go to the designated cause. The United Methodist community in Ukraine, though quite small, is actively engaged in assisting neighbors in need. Global Ministries is in touch with the church’s leadership as well as with church leaders in countries welcoming those who are fleeing from violence in Ukraine.
Our church is a place in which laughter and joy reign. People choose to come here to worship and to serve the community in the name of Jesus Christ because they love Jesus and they love this community.
Love in Action. We support our community through:
-
- Our very affordable Thrift Shop filled with generously donated goods
- Our Blessings of Home Storehouse where we offer basic needs for those moving into homes for the first time
- Our Comfort Quilts ministry for those needing that extra touch
- Our support of the local food bank at ROOF
We are planning more community support as Covid restrictions are lifted. WE MAY BE SMALL BUT WE ARE MIGHTY!
Come join us in sharing the many blessings we all have been given.
