This Sunday, June 13, Rochester UMC returns to indoor worship in the Sanctuary at 11 a.m. Masks and distancing will be required. We will celebrate Holy Communion. God is good!

Sunday Night Conversation will also be later in the evening from 6 to 7 p.m. in the RUMC Sanctuary. We will not have snacks or beverages but will gather for fellowship and conversation. Hope to see you at worship and for conversation in the evening. Masks and distancing will be required at Sunday Night Conversation.

Our next indoor worship service at Oakville UMC will be Sunday, June 20, at 11 a.m. The next indoor worship at RUMC will be Sunday, June 27 at 11 a.m. This will be Pastor Pam’s final worship service with you as she leaves for her new appointment beginning July 1.

Our South Sound Co-Op on-line service will also be on YouTube at 10 a.m. this Sunday.

Corona Virus Update

Dear Friends,

We are committed to keeping folks safe at Rochester United Methodist Church. Because of that, we are not currently worshipping together indoors to prevent spreading the Covid-19 virus.

Services are on-line each Sunday morning. The link to on-line worship is posted on this website.

We also gather at various times for outdoor drive-in worship. Those attending wear face masks and stay in their vehicles.

Inside our church, we hold limited operating hours. The church has been sanitized and tables, doorknobs and other surfaces are cleaned frequently. We wear masks inside and practice physical distancing.

We also gather in on-line weekly Bible Study and Coffee with the Pastor. Our church meetings are virtual as well.

We are holding to the strong and loving Wesleyan belief that we should do no harm. We show Christ’s love for one another by doing this.

There is hope as we hear the news of upcoming vaccines. We look forward to gathering again indoors when it is safe to do so. For now, our ministry continues in worship and in care through programs that bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to our beloved community!

“If you would decide to come to our church you would find a lively place: A place where people know the love of Jesus Christ and express that love in action. We are a congregation who live out the scripture from Genesis 12 in which the people are told that they are “blessed in order that they might be a blessing to others.”

This is not your dull Sunday morning place. This is a place in which laughter and joy reign. People choose to come here to worship and to serve the community in the name of Jesus Christ because they love Jesus and they love this community.

You probably wonder just how you might fit in. Well here are a few suggestions: Of course try out our 11:00 worship service. Start your Sundays with a free breakfast beginning at 10:00 am and the chance to meet some of your friends and neighbors in the Fireside Room.

We support the local food bank and help with school supplies and that is just a short list of all this congregation does.

We are all blessed to be blessings. Come join us in sharing the many blessings we all have been given.

Worship Schedule
Our church gathers for Outdoor Drive-In Worship second and fourth Sundays at 11 a.m.

Sunday Meals
Each first and third Sunday, our church provides free Sunday dinners for pick up or delivery. We provide meals from 2 to 3 p.m. Please call the church office at 360-273-5000 to place your order or for more information. Please call us by the Thursday before the dinner with the number of meals you desire and whether you will pick up or need delivery. Donations accepted, too.

Blessings of Home Storehouse
Our new program to help people in need with basic household items is launching. If you would like to donate household items such as kitchen and bedding items as well as paper products and other essentials, please call 360-528-1257. If we can use it to share with people in need, we will pick your item(s) up.
