Corona Virus Update

Dear Friends,

We are committed to keeping folks safe at Rochester United Methodist Church. Because of that, we are not currently worshipping together indoors to prevent spreading the Covid-19 virus.

Services are on-line each Sunday morning. The link to on-line worship is posted on this website.

We also gather at various times for outdoor drive-in worship. Those attending wear face masks and stay in their vehicles.

Inside our church, we hold limited operating hours. The church has been sanitized and tables, doorknobs and other surfaces are cleaned frequently. We wear masks inside and practice physical distancing.

We also gather in on-line weekly Bible Study and Coffee with the Pastor. Our church meetings are virtual as well.

We are holding to the strong and loving Wesleyan belief that we should do no harm. We show Christ’s love for one another by doing this.

There is hope as we hear the news of upcoming vaccines. We look forward to gathering again indoors when it is safe to do so. For now, our ministry continues in worship and in care through programs that bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to our beloved community!

Grace and Peace,
Rev. Pam Brokaw

“If you would decide to come to our church you would find a lively place: A place where people know the love of Jesus Christ and express that love in action. We are a congregation who live out the scripture from Genesis 12 in which the people are told that they are “blessed in order that they might be a blessing to others.”

This is not your dull Sunday morning place. This is a place in which laughter and joy reign. People choose to come here to worship and to serve the community in the name of Jesus Christ because they love Jesus and they love this community.

You probably wonder just how you might fit in. Well here are a few suggestions: Of course try out our 11:00 worship service. Start your Sundays with a free breakfast beginning at 10:00 am and the chance to meet some of your friends and neighbors in the Fireside Room.

We support the local food bank and help with school supplies and that is just a short list of all this congregation does.

We are all blessed to be blessings. Come join us in sharing the many blessings we all have been given.
